Reddit lately?

Social media news sites that feature voting on stories (like Digg, Slashdot, or Reddit) normally are populated with a large population of people who – without any particular basis for doing so – will bury a Second Life story faster than a dead budgerigar that’s starting to smell. Unless that story says something that appeals to popular, but incorrect, prejudices about Second Life, in which case it’s more than likely to be voted up to the front page in short order.

Well, Reddit, at least, is split into some distinct sections (called Sub-Reddits), and one of those is about Second Life specifically. You’re not likely to encounter too many users who come through just to vote things into oblivion, so it’s worth taking a look. With – hopefully – a limited supply of hooligans, it could well turn into a valuable resource.

Check it out.
