I’ve seen elections where the voters were bored or apathetic. I’ve seen them looking put-out and inconvenienced. Today was the first Australian election where I’ve seen the voters really looking keen.

A few weeks ago, I was walking the couple of kilometres from home to the mechanic to collect the car. On the way, I wound up walking for a short ways behind a couple of teenage high-school girls, maybe 13, if I’m any judge of these things. One was telling the other about how to trade pornography online without being tripped up by filtering software or school administrators checking network logs.

Free? Really?

So, a local games store has almost identical PS3 bundles on sale at the moment. From the literature, the only difference between the two bundles was that one came with “two free games” and the other came with “three free games.”

Well, that and an AUD$100 difference in the price-tag.

At no point during the sign-manufacturing process did anyone apparently notice the problems with these signs.

Yes, the local shopping centre is a treasure-trove of mangled signage. It is an endless source of cheap entertainment.


So, you might think that I’m having a pretty good time snapping photos of erroneous signage with my phone, right?

Yes, you’d be totally correct. It’s a hoot.
