In just the last 2-3 hours, RedZone – the contentious alt-detecting security system – has been ripped from Second Life this-evening, and its creator zFire Xue (along with TheBoris Gothly) suspended or banned from Second Life.

You can still see RedZone on the Second Life Marketplace, but I wouldn’t consider it a very safe purchase.

Theia Magic reports that Xue’s store location has been completely denuded.

That’s not quite all there is to say on the matter, because there are more complex issues involved, but we’ll get to those later.

UPDATE: The Marketplace items have been removed, and there has been a more progressive removal of in-world content relating to RedZone.
