August was kind of a mixed month. Rolling health problems and other things rather limited the time I was able to spend on the blog, unfortunately. That said, it was the fifth best month on record for readership.

Google Plus, as a referrer of traffic, declined as an influence throughout the month. Twitter, Plurk, Reddit, and Diaspora returned to the top spots for catching the attention of readers, leaving Google Plus an also-ran, just behind Facebook. This is, one presumes, largely fallout from the Nymwars.

There were just 22 posts for August (because of the issues that I alluded to above), and the net profit for the month was $72, including your kind donations. That’s $3.27 per post.
