Second Life In software terms, a feature, function, library or program is deprecated when there are plans to eliminate it or do something which will prevent it from working properly in the future. The deprecated thing still works now, and might (potentially) remain working forever, but you should no longer rely on it to do so.

Linden Lab has deprecated the 1.x series of Second Life viewers since the release of Second Life viewer 2.2.

Bugs are not your friend Second Life users who have edited their (now Web-based) profiles have encountered a data-loss issue. Originally reported in early February, the issue remains unresolved today.
